Crossfit is the sport, the community, the healthy lifestyle that I never knew was possible!! CrossFit helped me embrace the body I was born with and be proud of my muscles!  In less then two years, I have accomplished so much and continue to improve everyday.  My husband and I have always tried to stay physically active but when we turned 40, we got more serious about taking care of ourselves.  Crossfit has made me the healthiest I have been in 20 years!!The crossfit community has given me the opportunity to not only get healthy but build relationships that I will have for a lifetime.  I transitioned to becoming a coach because I want to share my passion and the benefits of crossfit to others!  As a coach, I believe in a positive environment that will help others become the best version of themselves.

I played soccer, softball, field hockey, track, and swam through grade school.  In high school I focused all my training on swimming.  I was a state finalist, junior olympics, junior nationals and senior national qualifier.  I trained 5 hrs a day Monday thru Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday.  After my swimming career was over, I struggled to find a sport.  I tried running, triathlons, biking and masters swimming but nothing stuck!  I went to a boot camp class a few years ago and couldn’t do anything.  I was determined to make a change and started crossfit.  Crossfit challenged me everyday.  When I started I was afraid to jump on a box and I couldn’t squat past parallel.  Now, I hope to make Master’s Weightlifting Nationals and to one day go to the Crossfit Games as a Master’s athlete.
